The new Suzuki Grand Vitara features no glaring faults, but rivals from Toyota and Honda are obviously more refined and comfortable on the road. Still, it's facile to overlook the Grand Vitara's minor shortcomings if you intend on using the powerfull and stylish little SUV as a true 4x4 or you just desire to drive a vehicle different from what everyone else drives.

 

For 2009, a four-cylinder model of the Suzuki Grand Vitara is once again purchasable in the United States. This time around, it's a 2.7-liter powerplant that delivers170 horsepower. It reaches 60 mph in just 10.2 seconds, just a little bit slower than the last all-wheel-drive Honda CR-V Cambece already tested.
